These nails are so cool! Featured in June's Vogue paired with YSL snakeskin platforms - it's a surefire way to get noticed this summer!

Snakeskin Nails by Bio Sculpture Gel

snakeskin pedicure!
From Shed to Nail Bed: a Comprehensive Guide to Reptilian Beauties
Creature: Snakeskin mani/pedi.
Discovered by: Bio Sculpture Gel educator Terri Silacci of Monterey, California. Recent sightings have been traced to Midtown East, New York City. (Note: Equally intricate faux versions have also migrated east.)
Behavior: Thin sheets of ethically sourced (and sanitized) skin are fitted to individual nails, which have been coated with the no-chip, flexible gel. A clear UV formula then seals the molten scales into place.
Pigmentation: There are 170 possible hue-and-accent color combinations, though the midnight blue base with cappuccino latticework is a well-known stunner.
Texture: Can maintain authentic scaly ridges or be subdued by the addition of a smoothing top coat.
Life expectancy: The meticulous treatment takes roughly two-plus hours to fully mature. Once applied, the toenail variety can last up to eight weeks (due to exposure, finger types typically reach only one or two).
Available at Spa Martier, 1014 Second Avenue, between 53rd and 54th Streets, lower level (646-781-9758 orspamartierny.com), $100 for faux treatments and $250 for real snake. Book within the next week and mention DailyCandy to receive 25 percent off. For more information, go to biosculpturegel.com.
