Holiday Windows NYC 2012

Now this is window shopping on a whole new level. Where to go to get into the holiday spirit!


Barneys
Where: 660 Madison Avenue @ 61st Street
What: "Electric Holiday" video that features Disney's Minnie Mouse and friends walking the runway in the latest fashions.

Bergdorf Goodman
Where: 754 Fifth Avenue @ 58th Street
What: The purple hued holiday windows continue to celebrate Bergdorf's 111th anniversary with Jazz Age inspired fashion.

Bloomingdale's
Where: 1000 Third Avenue at 59th Street
What: Get batty this season, well acrobatic that is. Bloomingdale's windows depict scenes from Cirque du Soleil: Worlds Away.

Henri Bendel
Where: 712 Fifth Avenue at 56th Street
What: Partnering with the Brooklyn Museum to create fashions from the 1920s. The main window has been designed to look like the department store's interior from 90 years ago, complete with mannequins wearing outfits inspired by actual Bendel designs from that era.

Lord & Taylor
Where: 424 Fifth Avenue between 38th and 39th Street
What: Marking their 75th anniversary of their annual festive displays, this year Santa Claus is seen traveling the world on his day off.

Macy's
Where: 151 W 34th Street @ Seventh Avenue
What: Entitled "The Magic of Christmas", Macy's is sticking to the classics and pays homage to Yuletide traditions.

Saks Fifth Avenue
Where: 611 Fifth Avenue @ 49th Street
What: This year's LED holiday light projection features snow flurries and a yeti. The two minute light show repeats every seven to eight minutes and ties in with the Snowflake Spectacular display that is featured in all 12 windows.
